The B-24 Liberator was an American long-range heavy bomber and patrol aircraft; also used to combat U-boats. The Liberator was designed and built by the American Consolidated Aircraft Corporation. Its task was to bomb remote cities; factories; bases and other enemy targets. With the entry of the US into World War II; production of the aircraft increased.
