COBI; together with the Deutsches Marinemuseum; has created a unique commemorative set in honor of the museum exhibit! Seehund (Type XXVII B) was a midget submarine produced in Germany at the end of World War II. Designed in 1944 and manned by a crew of two; it was used by the German Navy in the final months of the war. One of the few surviving ships is exhibited in the Deutsches Marinemuseum.

The block U-Boot TYPE XXVII SEEHUND was developed in 1:72 scale. The 1:144 scale used so far for submarines turned out to be too small for such a small submarine. The use of the 1:72 scale made it possible to reproduce the characteristic shapes of a real ship. All graphic elements are high-quality; durable prints. The set includes a block display stand and a plate with the name of the set printed on it. Our Historical Collection isn’t complete without this sub! Build history; piece by piece; with COBI.
