Whereas the hat; car; iron; and other token pieces represent players in the normal version of Monopoly; Monopoly: Assassin's Creed lets you choose between the series' different protagonists. You can play as Altair; Ezio; Connor Kenway; his grandfather Edward Kenway; Aveline; or the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Unity; Arno Dorian.

Other game pieces have also be changed to match the Assassin's Creed theme. Money has been replaced with Abstergo credits; and the usual real estate is swapped out for historical locations featured in the Assassin's Creed series; with Abstergo Industries and Abstergo Entertainment replacing the game's original prime properties: Boardwalk and Park Place.
