The bulk of the Hungarian Army; like all other combatant nations in World War II; consisted of infantry. Hungarian infantry were armed with a mix of old Austro-Hungarian Army World War I equipment; domestically produced modern equipment and imported German material and fought on the Eastern Front from June 1941 until the end of the war.
