5546 - Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX - Maintenance Hangar
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was a British one-seated fighter plane used during World War II. It was one of the most famous combat aircrafts of that period. The Mk. IX version had an improved engine and included a new gyroscopic sight. It also had two additional fuel tanks at the back of the hull; enlarged rudder and a lowered back of the hull with lowered cockpit canopy.
The block version by COBI is a USAAF version with American symbols. It has rotating flaps; easy-to-open pilot’s cockpit; retractable landing gear and rotating propeller. In addition; there’s a maintenance hangar with equipment.
