17/25pdr Pheasant anti-tank gun . Designed as a stop gap weapon the Pheasant combined a 17pdr anti-tank gun mounted on a 25pdr gun carriage. Brought about by the introduction of the Tiger tank by the Germans the Pheasant was an effective but lively weapon.
