The M113 chassis and hull have become the basis for the development of a number of vehicles with a wide range of purposes and armaments. By the time the m2 Bradley was introduced to service; the M2 Bradley - m113 was the primary vehicle of the American mechanized infantry. Later; this role gradually diminished.
