Zero was armed with two 20 mm guns and two 77 mm machine guns synchronized with the propeller. The aircraft could also take two bombs weighing 30 or 60 kg. In the case of kamikaze suicide missions; the aircraft could take two bombs weighing 250 kg. It was not installed from an additional fuel tank at that time.
Throughout the war; Mitsubishi were on-board fighters of the Japanese navy. At the end of the war; the planes were used in kamikaze formations.
